How to flash PcChips 754 motherboard?

This is a self extracting file that will create a bootable floppy disk that will flash your PcChips 754 motherboard to latest version eg 010822S.

After downloading file, put a blank formatted 1.44 mb. floppy disk in your floppy drive.

Open Windows Explorer and find the file you just downloaded. Double-click the file and it will extract files to the floppy disk.

After disk is finished writing, reboot the computer (leaving the newly created disk in the drive). Note Make sure your bios is set to boot from floppy FIRST.

During bootup you should see the following appear on your screen

Chipset type xxxxxx

Flash Part xxxxxx

Old Bios Release month/day/year New BIOS release month/day/year

Old BIOS Tag is

The BIOS ROM file is correct

Press [ENTER] key to continue or [ESC] to abort

Press [ENTER] key to update your BIOS, wait til it finishes then restarts the computer.... now remove floppy disk quickly, system will restart.

Now during startup, new bios should be displayed on screen (upper left).

You may need to enter bios setup and check all settings.

Additional If you have trouble booting from the floppy disk or flashing problems, check to insure the disk has the following files on it

010822s.rom (flash bin file)

Aminf336.exe (flash program executable)

command.com (boot file)

io.sys (boot file)

msdos.sys (boot file)

autoexec.bat (batch file to lauch flash program)
